Saule Omarova – Comptroller of the Currency nominee
The left has given high offices and influential positions to people who are anti-American. This is a small list of those individuals and the positions they hold.
Saule Omarova has been nominated by the Biden administration for the position of Comptroller of the Currency. Omarova graduated from Moscow State University in 1989 on the Lenin Personal Academic Scholarship. Her thesis from MSU is titled Karl Marx’s Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution in The Capital. Omarova moved to the United States in 1991, where she received a Ph.D in political science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (UW), and a J.D. degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
She has called for the Federal Reserve to offer consumer bank accounts, appealing in an academic paper last year to “effectively end banking as we know it.” In that piece, she endorsed an “overtly radical reform” of the Federal Reserve, saying that the central bank should be remade as “the ultimate public platform for generating, modulating, and allocating financial resources in a modern economy.”
She is refusing to hand over to the Senate Banking Committee her university thesis on Marxism written during her time in the Soviet Union. “As comptroller, Ms. Omarova would supervise some 1,200 financial institutions,” The Wall Street Journal editorial board wrote in an op-ed. “While she couldn’t enact her People’s Agenda without legislation, she would have sweeping powers to punish banks that don’t follow her diktats.
