Voctave resides up at the top of the a capella royalty along with Pentatonix, Home Free and VoicePlay. Unlike the others, they are more classic a capella – no beatboxer. But their sound is absolutely incredible.
There are eleven members, most of whom work as members of Voices of Liberty at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Formed in the winter of 2015 by producer and arranger Jamey Ray, the voices that bring their artistic arrangements to life represent a wealth of diverse backgrounds and musical experiences. Voctave members have roots in musical theater, contemporary Christian music, barbershop, pop and choral music. Members of Voctave have performed all over the world and can be heard on countless recordings. The group has performed with Grammy, Dove and American Music Award winners. With multiple #1 songs and albums on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify, Voctave has also ranked in the top 25 on Billboard Magazine’s charts. Voctave has received more than 150 million views on their videos.
Pentatonix’ version of this song was my absolute favorite… until I heard this performance. Voctave shares the stage with Mark Lowry, who wrote the lyrics to the song.

I love watching music reaction videos. I am not a singer/musician, so I learn a lot about what makes these performers so special, what parts of their performances are difficult and set them apart and I share my enthusiasm for something I love – great music – with other people. Some of my favorite reactors, however, are not vocal coaches, opera singers or other experts – they’re just people like me who enjoy music and share their enjoyment with others.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of music video reactors. I run across new ones all the time. The reactions I include in my posts are my favorites – both the people and the reactions. I thank them all for adding beauty to my life.
