In accordance with my doctor’s advice, I have embarked upon the Mediterranean Diet which is actually a lifestyle rather than a diet. Here is a very clear and concise explanation of the Mediterranean diet, including precautions.

One of the best aspects of this ‘diet’ is the food itself. It’s delicious! Here are a few of my favorite recipes.

The name didn’t really inspire me, but I tried it anyway – and it has become a huge family favorite! It’s amazingly good!
This dish is a satisfying vegetarian meal complete with spinach, beans and polenta, inspired by classic Spanish flavors. Note: Look for smoked paprika with other specialty spices; it’s available in three varieties: sweet, bittersweet and hot. Sweet is the most versatile, but if you like a little bit of heat, choose the hot variety.

Smoked Spanish Paprika

Rich, colorful Spanish-Style Paprika, naturally smoked over traditional oak fires. Subtle, smoky flavor and perfect color, good on just about everything.
